Located in northern valley of West Virginia, the scenic Barnum Rail-Trail follows the North Branch Potomac River. The trailhead is located in the small community of Barnum, exercise caution at the beginning, the trail is open to vehicles. The trail travels through dense forest of rhododendrons and mountain laurels. There are no official markings at the end of the trail, once it no longer maintained just turn around and head back to the trailhead.
